Equities Dashboard

The Equities Dashboard provides a comprehensive suite of tools for monitoring, analyzing, and discovering investment opportunities in the stock market. This powerful interface combines real-time price tracking, advanced charting, stock screening, and market activity monitoring in one centralized location.

Key Components​

Chart Monitor​

The Chart Monitor allows you to visualize price action for your selected stocks:

  • Interactive Price Chart: View candlestick charts with volume indicators
  • Multiple Timeframes: Toggle between 1M, 5M, 15M, 30M, 1H, and 4H views
  • Ticker Selection: Easily switch between different stocks using the tabs
  • Price Information: Current price, daily change in dollars and percentage
  • Volume Data: Trading volume displayed as a histogram below the price chart
  • Expand Option: "Expand Chart Grid" button to view multiple charts simultaneously

In the example shown, AAPL is being monitored with a price of $115.09, down $12.91, with a trading volume of 222,409 shares.

Quote Monitor​

The Quote Monitor provides a real-time watchlist of stocks you want to track:

  • Customizable Watchlists: Create and manage multiple watchlists (e.g., "Mega Cap" shown in the screenshot)
  • Real-Time Data: Current prices updated in real-time
  • Key Metrics: Last price, bid, ask, percentage change, and volume
  • Add Functionality: Easily add new tickers to your watchlist
  • Interactive Rows: Click on any stock to view it in the Chart Monitor

The watchlist shown includes major tech stocks like AAPL, NVDA, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL, META, and TSLA with their current prices and trading volumes.

Most Active​

The Most Active section displays stocks with the highest trading activity:

  • Real-Time Updates: Continuously updated throughout the trading day
  • Comprehensive Data: Symbol, company name, current price, dollar change, and percentage change
  • Filtering Options: Filter by market cap (5B shown), maximum cap, and sector
  • Color-Coded Performance: Green for positive performance, red for negative

The list shows active stocks like NVDA (NVIDIA), F (Ford), INTC (Intel), SOXL (Direxion Semiconductor ETF), and others with their current trading data.

Top Gainers​

The Top Gainers section highlights stocks with the largest percentage increases:

  • Performance Leaders: Stocks with the biggest positive price movements
  • Detailed Information: Symbol, company name, current price, dollar change, and percentage change
  • Filtering Options: Same filtering capabilities as the Most Active section
  • Real-Time Updates: Continuously refreshed throughout the trading session

Notable gainers shown include MARA (Marathon Digital Holdings) up 8.23%, PLTR (Palantir) up 6.79%, and SOXL up 6.30%.

Top Losers​

The Top Losers section identifies stocks with the largest percentage decreases:

  • Underperforming Stocks: Stocks with the biggest negative price movements
  • Comprehensive Data: Symbol, company name, current price, dollar change, and percentage change
  • Filtering Options: Same filtering capabilities as other sections
  • Real-Time Updates: Continuously refreshed throughout the trading session

The list includes stocks like INTC (Intel) down 2.44%, BAC (Bank of America) down 0.89%, and TLT (iShares Treasury Bond ETF) down 0.80%.

Equity Screener​

The Equity Screener is a powerful tool for discovering stocks that match specific criteria:

  • Custom Filters: Create and apply filters based on various metrics (e.g., "P/E Ratio > 500" shown)
  • Results Table: View matching stocks with relevant data
  • Key Metrics: Symbol, company name, market cap, and filter-specific data (P/E ratio shown)
  • Add Filter Button: Easily add additional filtering criteria
  • Interactive Results: Click on any stock to view more detailed information

The screener results show high P/E ratio stocks like DAY (Dayforce), IIVI (II-VI Incorporated), CWST (Casella Waste Systems), and others with their market caps and P/E ratios.

Chart Monitor Grid​

The Chart Monitor Grid provides an expanded view of multiple stock charts simultaneously:

  • Multi-Chart View: Monitor up to 9 different stocks at once
  • Individual Controls: Each chart includes:
    • Stock symbol and current price
    • Daily change in dollars and percentage
    • Close button to remove from the grid
    • Full price chart with recent price action
  • Consistent Timeframe: All charts show the same time period for easy comparison
  • Color-Coded Performance: Green for positive performance, red for negative
  • Add Chart Option: Easily add new stocks to the grid
  • Navigation: "Back to Equities Dashboard" button to return to the main view

How to Use the Equities Dashboard​

  1. Monitor Your Watchlist: Use the Quote Monitor to track your portfolio or stocks of interest
  2. Analyze Price Action: Use the Chart Monitor to visualize price movements and identify patterns
  3. Discover Opportunities: Review Most Active, Top Gainers, and Top Losers sections to find potential trading opportunities
  4. Screen for Specific Criteria: Use the Equity Screener to find stocks matching your investment criteria
  5. Compare Multiple Stocks: Use the Chart Monitor Grid to compare price action across different securities
  6. Deep Dive Analysis: Click on any stock symbol throughout the dashboard to view more detailed information

Data Refresh and Sources​

  • Real-Time Data: Price and volume data updated continuously via WebSocket connections
  • Market Cap Filters: Filter stocks by market capitalization (Small, Mid, Large, Mega)
  • Sector Filters: Filter by industry sectors to focus on specific market segments
  • Historical Data: Chart data available in multiple timeframes from 1-minute to 4-hour candles
  • Extended Hours: Pre-market and after-hours data available for supported securities
